PORT Talbot’s premiership rugby side has released a statement today (Friday), saying that their coach of seven years has stepped down.
Club Chairman Andrew John said: “Aberavon RFC announce that after seven years as head coach at the club Simon King has stepped down from his position by mutual consent. With some very creditable and consistent results over the years the team’s current league position is unacceptable to everyone associated with the club and it was felt that a change was necessary at this point.
“The search for a replacement begins at once. The club would like to thank Simon sincerely for his hard work, commitment and honesty throughout his time at the Wizards and of course wish him well in the future.”
